Coronary Heart Diseases

Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is a leading cause of death worldwide including Germany. Fat gradually deposits in the coronary arteries supplying the heart muscle. This deposit, called plaque, narrows the artery and hardens it. Over time, it may form a partial or complete block to the blood supply; this is termed as CHD. This causes reduction or cut-off in the supply of oxygen-rich blood to a part of the heart muscle producing symptoms of angina like chest pain. Oxygen deprivation leads to cell injury; and if prolonged, it may lead to death of cells of the heart muscle. Experienced doctors at Euromedic Healthcare understand that this is a life threatening emergency needing immediate attention.
